Import a logo and turn it into a design
Bring a customer's logo into the editor and choose between tracing, auto-digitize and AI design.
Add the image
- Create or open a design. Choose the hoop that matches the frame you will sew in.
- Use File > Import image, or drop an image file on the canvas, or press Ctrl+V with an image or a link on the clipboard. The tool rail also has Auto & artwork > Add image / logo.
- Files up to 25 MB are accepted: PNG, JPG, GIF, WEBP, BMP, TIFF, ICO, SVG, PDF, HEIC and AVIF.
Choose how to digitize
- Trace it myself: the image becomes the backdrop and you draw over it. Best when you want full control.
- Auto-digitize: builds stitch objects from the colour regions. Available on Maker and above.
- AI design: an AI-assisted analysis builds the objects. A standard design costs one credit and a detailed or many-colour design costs two; failed jobs are refunded.
Tips for a better result
- Start from the largest, cleanest version of the logo you can get. Vector files (SVG, PDF) are best.
- Remove gradients, shadows and tiny text if you can: they do not stitch well and are better rebuilt as lettering.
- Always review the result. Select objects, check the stitch types and play the stitch-out before you export.
Learn it hands-on. The in-app lesson “From image to design” walks you through this in the real editor. Find it under Help > Lessons.
